Job Description

Northwest Analytics is searching for a Data Analytics Software Sales Engineer to identify new prospective customers and establish new relationships while building and growing the existing customer base. The person will work in team selling environment along-side Applications Engineers to develop business within the manufacturing data analytics environment. The target industries include pharma, chemical and materials. The position is responsible for complete sales development including targeting suspects, prospecting, opportunity development, proposals, and closing. Requirements include the ability to work in a technical environment as well as the ability to communicate, manage and think critically. The person must be a highly motivated and organized technical professional with proven skills, who is experienced in solution selling. Most customers tend to be Fortune 500 companies, frequently headquartered in the United States, but may be located throughout the world. Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time is required.

Expertise:

  • 3-5 years with documented proven track record in software sales.
  • Technically capable for IT, software, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Analytics experience working in process manufacturing field
  • Experience with process manufacturing databases: SAP, Process Historians, LIMS
  • Advanced degree in data science/ data analytics
  • Understanding of Quality/Production/Process/Environmental/ Safety improvement

Personal skills needed: Logic reasoning skills, clear communicator (excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills), problem solver, solution development, flexibility, initiative, persistence, independent, attention to detail, dependable, customer service, cooperative, handling multiple priorities, self-control, trouble shooter.
