Northwest Analytics, Inc. recognizes the intrinsic right of privacy, security and data protection to our customers worldwide.  As an organization that crosses international borders, we continue to strive to provide protections across all of our operations to meet legal minimums and to deploy consistent policies and procedures.

This privacy statement explains how Northwest Analytics, Inc. and The Manufacturing Leadership Forum (an event series) use and protects any information that may be collected by Northwest Analytics when you use www.nwasoft.com, www.manufacturingleadershipforum.com, and www.EuropeanManufacturingLeadership.com

Northwest Analytics may ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using these websites, through your use of Northwest Analytics services, or during conversations or correspondence with Northwest Analytics representatives, and you can be assured it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What personal data we collect

The personal data is any information that personally identifies you or which you could be identified directly or indirectly.  We may collect personal data through your use of Northwest Analytics services, during events, during conversations or through correspondence with Northwest Analytics representatives. 

In an effort to serve our customers and those interested in our products and services better, the Northwest Analytics Inc. and Manufacturing Leadership Forum’s websites collect both personal and non-personal data. 

The personal information we collect depends on the nature of your interaction with Northwest Analytics or the services that you use, but may include any of the following:

  • Contact Data- We may collect personal and/or business contact data including your first name, last name, job title, business mailing address, work and personal phone numbers, fax numbers and email address, and other similar kind of information.  
  • Payment Data- We collect the data necessary to process payments and prevent fraud, including credit/debit card numbers, security codes, and all other related billing information.
  • Account Data- We collect information on how you purchased Northwest Analytics services (direct, through a partner), your transaction, billing and support history, and the Northwest Analytics services you use.
  • Demographic Data- We collect, or obtain from third parties, certain demographic data including country, gender, age range, preferred language, postal code, and product interests.
  • Other Unique Identifying Information- Examples of unique information that we may collect from you includes product serial numbers, information you provide during conversations, online, on the phone and in-person with our customer service, or other customer support channels.  If you attend The Manufacturing Leadership Forum your image may be captured during the recording of sessions. 
  • You are not required to share your personal data with Northwest Analytics; however if you choose not to share the information in some cases, including to receive access to product trials, demos and other product information, complete surveys, attend webinars or live events, and provide feedback, we will not be able to provide you with Northwest Analytics services. 

 

Information Automatically Collected

Cookies

As is standard practice with most websites, we automatically gather certain non-personal data about your visit with the use of cookies.  A cookie is a text file placed directly on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior.  Cookies allow web applications to respond to you like an individual.  The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. 

You can visit our websites without the use of cookies by disabling them in your browser settings. Northwest Analytics uses Google Analytics and Cookies to improve our service, and user experience, and analyze how the website is being used. 

We also use third-party tracking services that use cookies to track non-personal data about visitors to our websites, including Google Analytics.  Google Analytics is tracking approximate location (IP address), browser information, device information, and language. We do not collect additional information such as your age, gender, interest etc.   The collected information is used to provide an overview of how people are accessing and using the Northwest Analytics sites.  Google also uses the cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to the Northwest Analytics sites.  This practice is referred to as remarketing which allows us to serve targeted ads to people who have previously visited our websites to deliver the right messages.  You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s Ad Settings (https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7029158?hl=en).

The use of cookies by third parties is not covered by our privacy policy. We do not have access or control over those cookies. You can set your browser to not accept cookies; however in some cases website features may not function as a result. 

Web Beacons

Our Site employs a software technology called Web Beacons, - they are a clear gif that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We may tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers' personally identifiable information.

Children’s Privacy

Northwest Analytics does not knowingly collect information from children as defined by local law, and does not target its websites to children.

How will we use the data we collect?

We are able to deliver, personalize and improve our services with the collection of personal and non-personal data.  Specifically we use the information for the following purposes:

  • To fulfill requested services such as demo or trials of our products;
  • Contacting you about new products, services, special offers or events that we think you may find interesting;
  • Internal record keeping;
  • Sending you promotional materials; and
  • We may disclose your Personal Data to our affiliates, and partners that support our business, who also comply with our privacy standards in order to provide you with fulfilment services, technical support and other support to assist in providing you the best possible service.

Choosing Your Privacy Preferences

You have the option of subscribing to communications related to specific Northwest Analytics and Manufacturing Leadership Forum services.  You can also choose to receive Northwest Analytics and Manufacturing Leadership Forum general communications and how you want those delivered, e.g. via email or telephone.  

You can make or change your choices about receiving subscription or general communications at the data collection point or by using other methods listed in the sections below.  These options do not apply to communications primarily for the purpose of administrative order completion, contract support, transactional notices or other administrative notices where the primary purpose of the communications is not promotional in nature.

Subscription communications include email newsletters, software updates, etc. for a specific product or service for example NWA Focus EMI®, NWA Quality Analyst®, or The Manufacturing Leadership Forum.  You may “opt-out” or unsubscribe to receiving them by using one of the following methods:

General Communication

International Privacy Laws

If you are visiting Northwest Analytics websites from outside the United States, please be aware you are sending information (including Personal Data) to the United States where our servers are located.  That information may be transferred within the United States or back out of the United States to other countries outside your country of residence, depending on the type of information and how it is stored by us.  These countries (including the United States) may not have data protection laws as comprehensive or protective as those in your country of residence; however our collection, storage and use of your Personal Data will at all times continue to be governed by this Privacy Policy.
