Chemical engineers face many of the same challenges that other professionals face, and they meet these challenges by applying their technical knowledge, communication and teamwork skills; the most up-to-date practices available; and hard work. ChemBio 2017 is the conference where Chemical Engineers and Biotechnologists gather to discuss about the applications of chemical engineering in life sciences and challenges in achieving the results. Biochemical engineering, a subset of chemical engineering, impacts a broad range of industries, including health care, agriculture, food, enzymes, chemicals, waste treatment, and energy. Biochemical engineering has been central to the development of the biotechnology industry, especially with the need to generate prospective products (often using genetically engineered microorganisms) on scales sufficient for testing, regulatory evaluation, and subsequent sale.
