ISA-95: The Manufacturing System Standard That Enables Manufacturing AnalyticsManufacturing Analytics (MA) applies process oriented analytical and visualization methods to all aspects of managing a manufacturing company. As powerful a management tool as MA is, it can produce significant results only if the process data is properly collected, managed and manipulated. Also for long term effectiveness, the corporate manufacturing and business process database systems must follow well thought out standards that enable successful maintenance and subsequent expansion. The ISA (Instruments, Systems, and Analysis Society) Standards Committee for the ISA-95 standard has produced a model which defines all parts of the manufacturing enterprise management and how they link together. By following the ISA-95 model you can build a robust manufacturing data management system which will enable effective application of Manufacturing Analytics. http://www.nwasoft.com/appnotes/isa95.htm
